Here in the heart of this fortified city, you will discover the authenticity of a 19th century distillery. Within our walls, time has suspended its course; copper and oak are the ruling noble and living materials that have been faithfully complementing the know-how of the liqueur makers for 180 years. Today, there floats in the winery a subtle combination of fruit and plant fragrances that the angels’ share fuels with each maceration and distillation.

The first liqueurs that started the reputation of the Denoix brand were created within these same walls. This storehouse of knowledge and taste is witness to the living tradition that drives the distillery and keeps it alive.

In the heart of the Denoix Distillery

If you happen to visit when distillation takes place, you will be able to observe the red glow of the fireplaces in the early morning, vapours from the still, and boiling bubbles in the copper cauldrons. Under the cellar master’s watch, our elixirs are blended then poured into the oak casks that work silently to hone their finishing touches. Bottles will then be drawn, corked, and labelled manually, just like in the 19th century!

On the Counter Side

The winery is not only a historical liqueur manufacturing place, but also an actual counter where fine wines and spices from all over France cross paths: Armagnac, Cognac, Rums from Martinique, liqueur wines, white and red wines. Aromatic plants, fruit peels, cocoa beans, coriander and fennel seeds, or vanilla pods from Madagascar can also be found here. Top quality products for excellent liqueurs!

At this very 65 feet-long wooden counter, you will be invited to taste some of Maison Denoix’s specialities and discover their unique flavours. We look forward to welcoming you in the heart of our winery and sharing our passion with you.
